ENSEMBLE IN RESIDENCE
Fiveplay is a woodwind quintet comprised of flautist Abigail Mohr, oboist Maya Reilly, clarinetist Christopher Burrow, hornist Paola Colon, and bassoonist Trey Coudret. The quintet will be performing a recital featuring works by Eric Ewazen and Valerie Coleman. Fiveplay started in collaboration with gallery 2B&2C and have commissioned an NYU composition student, Maxim Dybal-Denysenko, to create a piece in alignment with the mission statement of 2B&2C. Abigail Mohr, Chapter President

Actively involved in music advocacy and performance, flutist Abigail Mohr is enthusiastic about arts administration, live music, and production. A recipient of the first place prize in the in the Conejo Arts Legacy Competition in 2021, as well as a recipient of the John Philip Sousa Award, she has pursued various positions across the music industry. She continues her work with nonprofit arts organizations as the Treasurer for the NYU Musical Mentors Collaborative, a nonprofit organization providing free, one-on-one music instruction to students lacking easy access to private lessons. Ms. Mohr is a Guest Experience Representative at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and most recently became the intern at Nonesuch Records, under Warner Music Group. She is currently a third-year undergraduate student at New York University pursuing a degree in Music Business, studying flute under Soo-Kyung Park and working as a Production Technician for recitals and concerts. Abigail Mohr will continue to devote her career to advocating for greater music accessibility and to the evolution of her own artistry.

Connor Miller is currently in his second year attending New York University, majoring in Music Business. He began his musical pursuits eight years ago by taking up the flute, and only a month or so after, the bass as well. Connor participated in both the wind ensembles as a woodwind and the jazz bands as a rhythm section player during his time at Agoura High School. With interests in Business, Music, and Fashion, he hopes to combine his artistic interests in his career. He is absolutely thrilled to be on the board and to continue his passion and love for music.

Casey Nordberg, Publicist

Casey Nordberg is a third-year undergraduate student at New York University majoring in Applied Psychology and pursuing a double major in French & Linguistics. Though not pursuing the arts professionally, Casey has strong artistic passions. She has spent the last four years studying under Nicholas Southwick, and, in high school, was Principal Flutist in Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and Jazz Band. In addition to music she enjoys creating digital art pieces using tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. As a new member of HYO and the chapter’s Publicist, Casey is very excited to employ her creative passions to help the NYC chapter of Harmonic grow!
