Jax Coopersmith, Chapter President
Jax Coopersmith, a senior at Agoura High School, has been playing the saxophone since he was twelve years old. Jax plays in both the Studio Blue jazz band and Wind Honors at Agoura High School. In the past year, Jax has won a Downbeat Award and has been featured in numerous concerts. In addition, he has organized collaborative virtual music performances. Outside of school, he has played in the Miles Ahead Jazz Band and has been taught by artists such as Ben Flocks and Wycliffe Gordon. He is currently being mentored by Brian Scanlon. Over the summer of 2021, Jax was accepted in the Berklee Creative Entrepreneurship program, where he learned about music business and collaborated with a multitude of creative artists and entrepreneurs. He is presiding over the Agoura chapter of the Tri-M Music Honors Society. As President of the Conejo Valley chapter of the Harmonic Youth Orchestra, Jax hopes to bring the community together and create numerous opportunities for student musicians to perform, as the country transitions out of the pandemic.

Ella Magen, Orchestra Officer
Ella began playing the cello at age ten and is now the principal cellist of Agoura High School's top orchestra, chamber orchestra, symphony orchestra, pit orchestra, and honors wind ensemble. She has a history of playing piano between ages seven and fourteen in which she participated in the Certificate of Merit for all seven years. On the cello, Ella has played in numerous chamber ensembles and is a current member of the Conejo Valley Youth Orchestra's symphony orchestra. She has won the Maestro Solo Award in the WorldStrides competition in San Diego, California and an award for being a respectable orchestral member at her junior high culmination. Ella highly looks forward to brightening her community with music as a part of Harmonic Youth Orchestra.

Garrett Khatchaturian, Jazz Officer
Garrett Khatchaturian has been playing the trombone for seven years and the tuba for four years. His love of jazz is fueled by great musicians in the area. He enjoys listening to jazz and classic rock in his free time. He is very excited to be a part of the Harmonic Youth Orchestra and to share his love of music with other students.

Yale Coopersmith, Choir Officer
Yale Coopersmith is a senior at Agoura High School and she is so excited to be part of Harmonic Youth Orchestra as the Executive Choir Officer this year! She has been an active participant in the Agoura High School choir since her freshman year, and is ready to help less seen members of the music program get the spotlight they deserve!

Aditya Iyer, Orchestra Officer
Aditya is excited to be the Executive Orchestra Officer for this  year! He plays the violin in school and sings outside of school. Aditya is also an officer for the Tri-M Music Honors Society at Agoura High School. Outside of school, he has been a part of the California State University, Northridge youth orchestra and All-State orchestra. Outside of music, Aditya likes to play sports, visit family in India, and spend time outside. He enjoys writing and playing music, and is eager to help spread his love of music to everyone.
